This is a temporary full time opportunity for up to 12 months with possible extension.

Temporary Teacher Vacancies

For TAFE temporary teacher vacancies applications will be considered in order of priority as follows:

i. applicants who meet the service requirements to be considered as a “long serving part time casual teacher and/or TAFE Temporary Teacher” (as defined below) through service within the Institute where the vacancy exists;

ii. applicants who meet the service requirements to be considered as a “long serving part time casual teacher and/or TAFE Temporary Teacher” (as defined below), partly through service in the Institute where the vacancy exists and partly through service in other Institutes;

iii. applicants who meet the service requirements to be considered as a “long serving part time casual teacher and/or TAFE Temporary Teacher” (as defined below), through service in one Institute (other than the Institute where the vacancy exists);

iv. all other applicants, including external applicants.

For the purpose of (i) to (iii) above, applicants will qualify as a “long serving part time casual teacher and/or TAFE Temporary Teacher” where they have worked as a part time casual teacher and/or TAFE Temporary Teacher for 240 hours or more (on average) for two consecutive years or more, as at the closing date of application. Service must be rendered in the relevant Institute or Institutes as specified in (i) to (iii) above.

An eligibility list may be created to fill future vacancies within Northern Sydney Institute. This list will be valid for up to 12 months.
This is a child-related position. If you are not currently employed in a child-related position in the Department, you will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance number as a condition of employment (if you do not already have this).
