ESL Qualified Educators Needed to Deliver AMEP programs across Melbourne

anzuk* is seeking casual relief teachers with TESOL/ESL qualifications and experience to deliver Beginner and Intermediate English courses to adults at a leading provider of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) across Melbourne on a emergency replacement basis.

The English language courses are aimed at helping learners with specific English language goals, such as pronunciation and grammar as well as English for individual needs such as driving, job seeking, and using technology. The organisation places a high focus on helping students to improve job opportunities, increase engagement with the local community, and to boost self-esteem and confidence.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience at a leading provider of adult education, training, and employment programs for adult migrants and refugees. Opportunities for long-term and sessional employment are available for the right candidates.

There are opportunities to work in multiple locations across Melbourne including Footscray, St. Albans, Werribee, Box Hill, Dandenong, Noble Park, Springvale, and Oakleigh.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver Adult Migrant English Programs (AMEP) based on the Certificates of Spoken and Written English (CSWE).
Actively engage learners with a diversity of cultural understandings, values, and experiences
Availability to work on a casual basis and to take morning calls for work
Availability to work 4 to 5 hour shifts and some 3-hour evening shifts
Commitment to providing students with hands-on experience and opportunities to realise their potential
Qualification requirements:
Have a Bachelor of Education with a TESOL/ESL major OR
a Bachelor Degree combined with a recognised postgraduate TESOL qualification
Have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110)
Application requirements:
Up-to-date CV outlining relevant experience
Two supervisory teaching references that have observed your teaching practices directly in adult education settings
A current Australian police check and/or VIT registration
Qualifications that meet National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) and the National Skills Standards Council (NSSC)
Experienced applicants and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
