Na’atik Language and Culture Institute, is looking for one qualified, enthusiastic, creative, patient English teacher to start mid-August. Most hours are to teach our young learners (ages 4-6). Na’atik is a small, unique non-profit language institute located in the Yucatan Peninsula in the safe Mexican-Maya town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo approximately 3 hours south of Cancun, 2 hours north of Belize and 1-hour inland from the Caribbean Sea. Na’atik offers English courses and scholarships to increase access to education and opportunities in the Maya Zone as well as a study abroad program for Spanish and Maya language for English-speakers. Our English language program is committed to providing teacher support and uses the most effective methods with excellent texts, materials, and active and fun curriculums. We also have special events and field trips throughout the year organized by the staff. Qualifications:
Native English speaker
Degree from an accredited university
TEFL/CELTA/TESOL certified or 2 years of teaching experience
Adventurous and independent spirit
Willingness to help organize and participate in special events and field trips
Basic Spanish
Experience in the developing world a plus
