We operate across a number of campuses in Greater Western Sydney and provide pathways to University through English Language Programs, University Foundation Studies, Diploma Programs, and continuing professional development programs. The primary role of the Academic English Teacher is to provide efficient and effective teaching and learning experiences for students.

Qualification Requirements:

• As per TEQSA requirements, all Academic Teachers require either undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in the area of specialisation they are looking to teach in.
• In addition, Foundation unit teachers will require a teaching qualification along with at least two years of relevant teaching experience.
• For teachers applying to teach Academic English, along with a recognised degree (English, Applied Linguistics or equivalent), you will require an appropriate English language teaching qualification e.g. Dip. Ed, TESOL or CELTA, and at least two years' experience teaching English, English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language.

Working with Children Check:

As this position is expected to involve direct or unsupervised contact with children, and in accordance with legislative requirements, in order to commence working at The College, it is a requirement to obtain a “NSW Working with Children Check Clearance”. The screening involves checking that you are not a ‘disqualified person’ the meaning of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012. No disqualified person will be retained in or appointed to work in child related employment within The College.
