Coastal Ecuador Teaching Program
Date 2017-04-19 19:04:51 Location : South America
WorldTeach is excited to announce an immediate opportunity to volunteer as a teacher in the coastal region of this beautiful country. This program is operated by the Edificar Foundation, a partner of WorldTeach and the Ministry of Education in Ecuador. WorldTeach is assisting the Edificar Foundation to find great applicants to begin teaching English in K-12 schools in June 2017.
The Coastal Ecuador Teaching Program will help you to develop professionally, while learning about the fascinating blends of cultures and languages represented along the coast of the South Pacific Ocean, opposite the Galapagos Islands. Selected volunteers who hold a B.A. or above and who are native-level English speakers will receive flight, housing, meals, overseas health insurance, visa and a living allowance stipend, in exchange for:
Teaching approximately six classes per day, Monday – Friday, in one of Ecuador’s K-12 public schools
Following the teaching curriculum given by the Ministry of Education
Assessing students’ performance according to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Education
All selected volunteers will arrive in Ecuador for a start date of May 29 and will begin teaching on June 5, 2017. The program completes in March 2018.
Volunteers must be college graduates between the ages of 21 - 74, and speak English at a native-level. Volunteer teachers will live with host families in local homes near their school placement. Placements are available throughout the entire coastal region.
The Coastal Teaching Program is not a WorldTeach program.
This program is fully operated and controlled by the Edificar Foundation.
