To Whomever it may concern,
I am a native English speaker, coming to Australia most recently from 10 years in New York City. I was educated at Fordham University in New York, and entered the job market in the Financial sector on the sell-side. Most recently, I worked with Salesforce, a software-as-a-solution vendor, for the Small- to Medium-sized businesses segment, servicing clients in the Greater New York City Area. I am relocating to Sydney, Australia in November of 2017, and hope to find an opportunity teaching (American) English to Asian business professionals.
In addition to my professional experience, I have spent over 5 years volunteering in the education non-profit sector. For the first 4 years as a mentor with Chess-in-the-Schools, mentoring high school students entering the college application process, and then overseeing a team of mentors. This experience gave me first hand knowledge of teaching proper english, grammar, and persuasive writing for those looking to influence others in a decision. After that, I joined the Management Committee of the Foundation for Education in Honduras, a non-profit that raises funds to build schools in poverty-stricken areas in Honduras. I continue to maintain this position part-time.
If you are looking to learn Western English from a professional with over 5 years in client services and 5 years in education related volunteering, I would be happy to connect via Skype to host an initial interview. My hours are flexible, and can accommodate a classroom or individual tutoring setting.
I look forward to hear from you soon!
