My position in the TALK program involves teaching Elementary school children in public schools particularly in rural areas in South Korea conversational English. I am expected to teach English to Grade 3 to Grade 6 students in the mornings as well as in the afternoons. I also write artist biographies for the gallery website and for exhibitions. I also assist with exhibition planning and set up and openings by printing mailing list sign up sheets, printing price labels, sending invitations and serving drinks for example.

My position at The Art Company involves assisting with the sales that take place in the gallery by writing invoices, handling cash and debit card transactions and assisting with quotations. I also assist clients with their custom framing needs and with following up on orders. My position also involves managing how the gallery runs by opening the shop, keeping the company databases in order, following up on all emails and phone calls and organising exhibitions.

National Arts Festival Gallery Assistant June-July 2012
My job at the NAF involved the unpacking of crates with artist Clare Menck’s paintings, archiving the works and placing them in specific positions in the Albany Museum gallery. The position involved following the directions of curator, working at the gallery during the duration of the festival, selling and counting of money made from the exhibition catalogues. I also worked as an assistant on the exhibition ‘Making Way’ curated by Dr Ruth Simbao.
